Platelet Rich Plasma injections encourage cell turnover, leaving you with healthy, glowing skin.

ou have probably heard of athletes getting PRP injections to speed up the healing process of an injury. Well, PRP therapy has enormous benefits to the skin on your face, lending the same healing properties it does to athletes with injuries. As we age, collagen production slows down, leaving us with less volume and the loss of that healthy, vibrant glow. PRP Therapy combines microneedling and the injection of Platelet Rich Plasma to encourage cell turnover and leave you with healthy, glowing skin.

Platelet Rich Plasma contains a high number of cell growth factors that stimulates collagen production and the growth of healthy cells. Platelets are cells within your blood that helps tissue heal and regrow. When injected into specific areas it promotes the growth of new healthy cells in the skin which stimulates collagen growth and regenerates tissue to naturally tighten and smooth the skin. This helps to reduce the appearance of acne scarring, wrinkles and fine lines and even out complexion.

PRP for Hair Restoration

PRP injections can also be used to restore hair growth. This treatment uses microinjections to inject the PRP directly into the follicle to reduce hair loss and improve hair growth, including increasing individual hair width and hair density.

PRP contains high concentrations of over 20 growth factors that are actively secreted from the α-granules of platelets. These growth factors promote hair regrowth by binding to their respective receptors expressed by stem cells of the hair follicle bulge region and associated tissues. Further, they stimulate a cascade or chain of events which then culminate in a stimulation of the hair follicle to grow. Multiple small injections are done in a linear pattern 1 cm apart to a depth of 1.5-2.5 mm. Topical analgesia can be used. A minimum of 3 sessions at 1-month intervals are recommended. We combine PRP with other treatment modalities to improve the success rate of our program.
