A minimally invasive skin resurfacing treatment to promote collagen restructuring and reduce skin imperfections.
icroneedling is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment used to promote collagen restructuring in the dermal layers of the skin. At True Balance we offer the Eclipse MicroPen® – a handheld 12-tip micro-pen that vibrates at high power to pierce the superficial layer of your skin thousands of times over a few seconds. These piercings cause minor trauma to the epidermis which will stimulate collagen and elastin production to smooth and soften your skin.
The Eclipse MicroPen® penetrates deep into your epidermis and the upper layers of the dermis to stimulate the healing response which results in:
- A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
- Immediate improvement in skin texture
- A reduction in hyperpigmentation
- A more even skintone
- The elimination of acne and cystic acne
- A reduction of pockmarks and scarring
- A reduction of blackheads
- General skin exfoliation for better absorption of moisturizers
What to expect
Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied to ease discomfort. When treatment begins, a hand piece is placed against the skin. Light pressure will be felt, when the handpiece is pushed down and the needles puncture the skin's surface. A slight vibration can be felt.
What to expect
Pinpoint bleeding can be seen directly after treatment. Mild redness that subsides within the first 24-48 hours. A faint but visible grid pattern will be seen on the skin for a few days.
Do I have to avoid certain things following treatment?
Makeup can be applied 2-3 days after treatment. It's recommended to wait 2-4 days before resuming regular activity exercise. No sun exposure for 48 hours, SPF is required post-treatment.
